In plain language
What we hold, that we never sell it, what a driver sees, what a provider sees, and how to take it all with you or delete it.
What we collect, why we collect it, and who else ever sees it. The short version: we do not sell your data, and the only time your details reach a third party is when you tell us to.
1. Who we are
SAP Drivers (sapdrivers.app), operated by Dectrick McGee, 1007 Killingsworth Lane, Wesson, MS 39191. Questions about anything here: hello@sapdrivers.app.
2. What we collect from drivers
- Account — name, email, and a password we store only as a one-way hash. We never see your password.
- Location, for matching — the city, state and ZIP you give at sign-up, plus whether you have told us you need a SAP. This is used to show you providers near you.
- What you save — saved carriers, carriers you have marked contacted, private notes, recently viewed.
- What you post — reviews, SAP-status reports, company submissions.
- Usage — pages viewed, sessions, and which carrier phone numbers were tapped, so we know what is useful.
- Donations — amount and date. Card details go to Stripe and never touch our servers.
Browsing the directory requires no account and no personal information at all.
3. What we collect from SAP providers
- Listing — name, practice, credentials, bio, phone, website, office addresses, and any image you upload. All of this is published on purpose; that is the point of a listing.
- Account — email and hashed password.
- Outreach — if we invited you, we held your name, email and the state you practise in, from professional listings you had published publicly so that drivers could find you. We did not get it from you and we did not buy it. Opening your claim link records that it was opened, and nothing else — the invitation carries no tracking pixel. You can have all of it removed at any time, whether or not you ever claim the listing: reply to the invitation or write to hello@sapdrivers.app and we remove it and do not contact you again.
- Billing — for Featured subscriptions we store Stripe customer and subscription identifiers and your rate. Card details stay with Stripe.
4. Where our information comes from
Most of what we hold, you gave us — a driver signing up, a provider filling in their listing. Two parts of the directory did not start that way, and it is fair that you know which:
- Carriers — company names, locations and operating details come from the FMCSA’s public records, which are published by the federal government for exactly this kind of use, together with what companies have said publicly about their own hiring.
- SAP providers — names, email addresses and the states they practise in come from professional listings those providers had published publicly so that drivers could find them. Nothing was bought, and nothing was taken from a private or members-only source.
In both cases the information was already public and was already there to help somebody find a service. Either way, you can have your entry removed — see section 9.
5. Sharing a driver’s details with providers — opt-in only
Drivers can choose to share their name and email with SAP providers listed in their state. This is off unless you switch it on, we record when you consented, and you can withdraw it at any time from your profile — after which your details stop appearing to providers.
Providers who receive them may use them only to offer you SAP services, and must stop if you ask. They may not resell or redistribute them. If a provider misuses your details, tell us and we will remove their listing.
We never sell personal information to anyone, for any purpose.
6. Who else processes your data
- Stripe — payments and subscriptions. They receive what is needed to take a payment; we never store card numbers.
- Google AdSense — advertising on public pages, which may use cookies to personalise ads. Manage this at adssettings.google.com. Supporters who have given at or above our threshold get ads switched off entirely.
- Our hosting and database provider, which stores the data described above on our behalf.
We also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.
7. What is public
Provider listings and provider-written articles are public. Reviews you post are shown publicly with the name on your account. Private notes are never public — they are visible only to you. Your email, location and saved list are never published.
8. Cookies and similar technology
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in, and a small cookie recording ad-free status so ads are suppressed before they load. Advertising partners set their own cookies as described above.
We also keep our own basic statistics about visits to this site — the page you opened, the site that linked you here, whether you were on a phone or a computer, and the time zone your browser reports — using a random identifier stored in your browser. It is never sold, never shared with anyone, and does not identify you.We do not store your IP address or your browser's user-agent string alongside it. If you have an account, these visits are included in the data export you can download at any time, and they are unlinked from you if you delete your account. Clearing your browser storage resets the identifier. We delete these records after 400 days.
9. How long we keep things, and deleting your data
We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account yourself — from your profile, or your provider dashboard — which removes your account, saved carriers, notes, reviews, and any provider listing, offices and articles you hold.
Payment and donation records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require, even after deletion. Deleting your account does not cancel a paid subscription — cancel that first from your dashboard.
10. Your rights
You can download everything we hold on your account yourself, any time, from your profile or your provider dashboard — one JSON file with your details, saved carriers, notes, reviews, donations, and your provider listing and articles if you have them. You can also delete your account yourself (section 9). For corrections, or anything the download does not answer, email hello@sapdrivers.app and we will act within 30 days. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights, including under the California Consumer Privacy Act. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front.
If you are named on a carrier page from public federal records and want your details removed, email us and we will remove them.
11. Children
This site is for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
12. Changes
We will update this policy as the site changes, and the “last updated” date above will move. See also our Terms of Service and Disclosures.
